1. Digital! Digital! Does Thiele also work
with film?
There is naturally no limit to the work we can still do with your films.
We develop our customers’ 35 mm and medium-format films in-house
using a hanging machine which is particularly easy on the negatives.

2. Does Thiele tell me which film I have to
use?
We would like to, but we don’t. We recommend a film brand
which has been tested with our customers and which offers a good balance
between price and quality. We can also supply you these films at the most
up-to-date prices. Otherwise you are free to choose any film you like.

3. Does Thiele take as long to process my
orders as other school photo laboratories?
Definitely not! The constant expansion of capacities in the
digital and analogue areas means that we can offer the shortest delivery
times even in the Autumn season.

4. What about nostalgic photos?
Nostalgic photos are of course a part of our regular program. If you work
digitally, take your photo in colour and we will transform it into nostalgic
colours or monochrome. If you work with film, we recommend the use of
black/white films such as the Kodak BW 400 CN for the colour negative
process.

5. The schools insist on having a CD with
all pictures, but I still take analogue photos. Can Thiele help me?
If requested, we can use a simple management program,
„School
Office “ to make CDs of your films.

6. I want to change over to digital photography.
How can Thiele assist me?
We help you choose the equipment best suited to your needs. In
addition, we offer you an individual appointment to test your digital
camera together with your flash equipment and to find the best possible

7. Does Thiele use machinery such as the Agfa
PPL to filter my orders?
No! At Thiele, all orders, whether analogue or digital, are filtered by
our trained filter setters. All filtering is carried out on the basis
of test prints and compared with your reference image.

8. Can Thiele supply posters showing the heads
of all children in an institution?
We produce school and playschool galleries in a wide variety of formats
and layouts. We are happy to agree any individual variations with you.

9. Digital reordering is time-consuming and
I have to ask the parents a lot of questions. Does Thiele have anything
in its program which would make my work easier?
All digital portraits are stored on our server for three months. For reordering
purposes, we need only the file description and the article number. The
easiest option is to use our reordering cards ( with a small picture of
the child and your logo). When ordering this product, you will receive
the cards and an extended server storage period of six months.
The safest and most convenient way is to use Portraitnet,
which also enables you to make your payment.
